Moonie Front Paper "The Washington Times" Declares Moon God
http://www.usasurvival.org/ck7502.shtml

The Washington Times Reports: Moon is God Sun Myung Moon once again openly manipulates the Washington Times; Uses America’s birthday to promote himself as messiah of the world. Article published about Moon front group in Washington Times, while advertisement in Times from another Moon front quotes Jesus Christ as saying that Moon is the second coming. How long will Times editor Wesley Preden continue to insist that the Times does not serve Moon's interest?

This website is a right/leaning anti-New World Order type deal.

I posted this at FR and it was deleted within a minute. I find it hilarious how terrified they are of the mention of one of their prime benefactors. They didn't like my thread on Prescott Bush's business troubles during WWII, either...

Gee, I wonder if Skinner will pull this? :)

1. My post about Prescott...
(My handle was Prescott Silesian :))

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prescott_Bush

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silesian-American_Corporation

Silesian-American Corporation was the American holding company for Friedrich Flick's German steel empire; two thirds of which was controlled by Flick, Nazi Germany's largest arms supplier, with the remaining one third under the control of, initially, the Harriman Fifteen Corporation, and subsequent to its merger with Brown Brothers, the Brown Brothers Harriman Corporation.

(SNIP)

According to preperatory documents for the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal, Flick was "one of the leading financiers and industrialists who from 1932 contributed large sums to the Nazi Party... member of the 'Circle of Friends' of Heinrich Himmler who contributed large sums to the SS."

The Flick-Harriman partnership was directly supervised by Prescott Bush, and by George Herbert Walker. The Harriman-Walker Union Banking Corp. arrangements for the German Steel Trust had made them bankers for Flick and his vast operations in Germany by no later than 1926.

(SNIP)
Seizure of Assets Under The Trading With The Enemy Act

In 1942, nearly a year after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S. government ordered the seizure of the Nazis' share in the Silesian-American Corporation under the Trading with the Enemy Act. Enemy nationals were said to own 49 percent of the common stock and 41.67 percent of the preferred stock of the company.

3. Even Stalin endorses Moon.
Stalin (Joseph Vissarionovich Djugashvili Stalin, 1879-1953, Lenin’s successor, who communized Russia.): Friends in Communist countries, I am Stalin. You have had wrong thinking. As the way you are going is not the way you should go, you must turn to the right path as soon as possible. One’s life on the Earth determines the place one will live in the heavenly world. Our beliefs are wrong. The worst of it is that we deny and ignore God, who is the origin of the cosmos. The God we denied is the Parent of humankind. God is not a theological existence, but is our Parent.
Those at whom we laughed live well in spirit world. It is certain that they didn’t go to Hell. When we laughed at them, they and God loved us. We live in the bottom of Hell here. Do you understand what it means? People here don’t treat each other as human beings, but as material. If there were any means to rid myself of this pain, I would do it. The place one dwells in the spirit world cannot be decided by power, honor or gold. It is decided by the sincerity of your life on the Earth. First, know and believe God and attend Him. Second, completely clarify your way of life.

Please receive the will of Reverend Moon completely, open your minds and build churches for the worship of God and hold worship services. Reverend Moon reflects the image of God, even though he is a man, and he is struggling intensely to save Communist countries. His thought is messianic, especially for the Communist countries. You must receive his ideology of peace immediately. I, the dictator who denied God, cry out to all the Communist countries on the Earth. Please believe in God and seek for Him. Stalin, April 19, 2002

Edited on Sat Jan-22-05 04:33 PM by blm
and have been for over 40 years.

They accuse Democrats of wanting to get rid of Jesus, while Moon declares himself the Messiah and convinces 135 ministers to throw out their Jesus' crosses and replace them with Moon's crown. Moon was "crowned" during an official ceremony in the Senate's Dirksen Room last March. Nary a peep from the Bush supporters or mainstream media.

And both Bushes spoke at a recent Moon gathering to honor Moon.

Un-fucking-believable!

6. Is that actually on the print edition?
Or is it from an older edition?

If it's from today, I would brave the snow to go out and buy a copy (sorry to fund this, but it would be money well spent) just so I could throw it in the face of my RW brother when he quotes something Rush gleaned from the Moonie Times.

I would love to smack him in the face with the actual paper where it declares how loony Moon (pun intended) is.

9. I wonder if they automatically delete any post with the Moon's name?
Never takes longer than 10 seconds for them to pull the thread. That means they are in a Stalinist mind lockdown there.

At least DU's mods are fair and try to be broadminded.

:toast: to our hardworking mods!

The last thing I tried to put up was a classic from the Raygun years:

http://www.fair.org/extra/best-of-extra/washington-times.html

Opposition to constitutional democracy is a theological premise of The Divine Principle, the basic text of Unificationism. Moon's speeches are riddled with contempt for "American-style democracy," which he denigrates as "a good nursery for the growth of Communism." "We must have an automatic theocracy to rule the world," Moon has declared.

Former top UC official Steve Hassan believes that the Washington Times is a "Trojan horse" within the conservative movement. Hassan told EXTRA!, "Conservative politics is glad to have a voice through the Times, but ultimately it has nothing to do with conservatism. It has to do with fascism."

10. There is a slight problem with claiming to be God.
You have to perform miracles, like Jesus did. For instance Jesus changed water to wine, he walked on water, made the blind see, cured lepers and miracle of all miracles raised the dead. When Moon can do all those things he can claim to be the Messiah, God or whatever he wants to be, but not until then.

Bush Praises Sun Myung Moon as 'Man of Vision'

07:10 Nov 25, 1996 EST
BUENOS AIRES
(Reuters) -- The South Korean evangelist Sun Myung Moon launched a new Spanish-language newspaper for the whole of Latin America this weekend, with the backing of guest George Bush who praised Moon's respect for editorial independence. The former U.S. president, guest speaker at a banquet Saturday to launch Moon's new publication ``Tiempos del Politics Mundo'' (Times of the World), was full of praise for the controversial evangelist's best-known newspaper, the Washington Times, and referred to Moon as ``the man with the vision.'' Bush then travelled with Moon to neighboring Uruguay Sunday to help him inaugurate a seminary in the capital Montevideo to train 4,200 young Japanese women to spread the word of his Church of Unification across Latin America.

Moon already owns a major newspaper, bank and hotel in Uruguay and is buying up land in the Argentine province of Corrientes, where he plans to construct what his followers call ``ideal cities''.

``I want to salute Reverend Moon who is the founder of the Washington Times and of the new paper here,'' said Bush, who was reported by the Washington Post to have been paid $100,000 for his Buenos Aires appearance.

``A lot of my friends in South America don't know about the Washington Times but it is an independent voice,'' said Bush. ''The editors of the Washington Times tell me that never once has the man with the vision interfered with the running of the paper, a paper that in my view brings sanity to Washington DC.''

15. there's this jerk-off from the Moonie Times on the Capitol Gang.
For no damn good reason. The Moonie Times isn't even in the Top 100 dailies, it is a pure propaganda rag, yet this asshole gets a seat at the table.

18. Imagine how the rightwingers would react if the Village Voice was given
as much weight as the Moonie Times?

And the Village Voice has way more credibility, and is not trying to advance a fascist-theocratic agenda.

17. I know one...
And the sad thing is, I know a Moonie.

Perfectly reasonable, otherwise wonderful person who roots for Moon as a persecuted, misunderstood guy that's had alot of propaganda aimed at him over the years. I got into one religious debate with him over Moon and his record, but after that ended, I decided that convincing him not to drink the Kool-Aid was less important then not losing him as a friend.

Nontheless, I'll fight these sort of cult theocrats until the end of my days.

23. Not a typican Moonie
I'm not entirely sure they have for this guy. He talks alot more like a typical moderate Christian then a Moonie, and I almost never hear him mention Moon in conversation. Not to mention the fact that he's quite willing to rip Bush a new one on certain things, but is very Republican in others. And he would fight to the end the sort of social Darwinism that Moon and his followers espouse.

There's more to my friend then meets the eye, and that's probably the primary reason I am still friends with him.
