Did your Democratic Senator vote for Condi Rice?
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 09:11 PM by Cascadian
And are you mad about it? I am sorry to say that both Destinguished Ladies from my state of Washington voted this lying jackal Miss Rice (or is it Mrs. Bush? lol!!) as the Sec. of State. I am very very disappointed and it is looking highly likely that Maria Cantwell will not be getting my support in 2006. I will either be supporting another Democrat who challenges her (I hope it happens!) or a third party candidate.

So go on and vent your rage here!

61. Amen!
And I know Boxer didn't as well, from my second home state of California.

Whatdoyaknow--both of my states have ballsy Senators. I hope we see more of the likes of Teddy and John here in Mass for a long time to come, and that Barbara Boxer continues to represent the best of California. Feinstein can go--perhaps Sheila Kuhl could take her place at some point?

16. Burr and Dole - need I say more - NC has no democratic senator
any more.
I don't want to seem ungrateful, there were 12 Democratic votes against this abomination of a nomination - but what about Clinton, for instance. First she votes for the war, and now this!

Not one single solitary Republican capable of admitting disgust and having the courage to admit to having a conscience.

A sad day.

How very odd. Remember, Inouye rose to prominence by denounicng the repuke lies of an earlier generation at the Watergate hearings.

Akaka, meanwhile, apparently drew some parallels to the oppression of the Hawaiian people. I really need to get a transcript of that!

What are we in Seattle & WA as a whole going to lose if she votes against Dr. Rice?

They in DC know we're a blue state. We get ignored anyway for merely being up here in the middle of nowhere.

64. I notified Cantwell that I'll be voting Green in '06.
That was after her vote for the war. Her latest sell-out, just fortifies that decision.

I've been a fan of Murray's since I move to WA 12 years ago. This vote was very disappointing. I'll be closely watching any future votes concerning the war.

76. One did (Barack O'Sellout) and one didn't Dick Durbin.
Obama is on VERY thin ice with me....right out of the gate he acts like a DINO...

Senator Durbin on the other hand does all Illinoisans proud once again.

. . . and I am proud of Senator Boxer.

As for Senator Feinstein, I hope somebody launches a primary challenge against her.

84. Yes and No.
Brilliant and beautiful Carl Levin votes NO.
Formerly wonderful and vibrant Debbie Stabenow votes YES.

Debbie is getting an e-mail from me that is not as nice as the one that I sent to Mr. Levin. And she has made me proud in the past....must be that pesky DLC bug she picked up.

I called them to vote no, but what a laugh!!!! I would love to have a Democratic Senator such as Barbara Boxer, Carl Levin, Ted Kennedy, etc. I'll still keep calling them and asking them to vote for the Dems (Good Luck!.

87. Landrieu, YES and I don't think that it was with good intentions
But I don't care, Landrieu gets elected and this is the deep south. I look to other senators to actually stand for something.
