1. With the RW's ability to lie at will and get away with it....
Condi would win.

3. Maybe not
they still have a problem with women in powerful positions and black women especially.

I personally love to throw the possibility of Condi's running right in their faces; they don't know what to say (for once).

12. Isn't Condi pro-choice?
I think that is a bigger sin for Republicans these days than being black.

2. About as much chance as Mothra vs Godzilla
I may be completley mistaken here - but I don't think either of them are going to get party nominations.

However given the way things are today, Condasleeza may just get coronated as a queen regent. I'd just say declare the representational form of government over and revert to an honest monarchy.
How long did the Roman Republic last ?

4. It would be interesting, I'll admit that
Isn't Condi pro-choice? Black & pro-choice would cause a meltdown among the Religious Reich...

5. Yah, the south is going to vote for a black woman for president.
Edited on Tue Feb-01-05 09:11 AM by K-W
Riiiiggghhht. (strictly speaking of the electoral college, I know not everyone in the south is racist, but there are enough people with enough prejudice to make this pretty darn unlikely.)

They would run a third party candidate or they wouldnt vote handing the election to the democratic minority.

13. Hillary would beat Condi.
There are a lot of people who wouldn't vote for either, because they don't want a male president, and even more who wouldn't ever vote for a black president.

My grandpa is a good example. In 1986, a black republican (Lucas) ran against a white democrat(incumbent Blanchard) for Michigan Governor. My grandpa, dues-paying republican, didn't vote that year. There are a lot out there who think that way.
