For years now, the RW press has used the word "liberal" like McCarthy used the term "commie" and a clansman used "nigger." They tell "liberal" jokes and consider the Liberal as the new Commie, a person out to destroy "their" America.

A sad thing is to see liberals fall for the propaganda and start calling themselves "progressives," as if that particular label won't cause the Bushco version of Sauron's eye to zero in on them. Others have become "moderates" and adopted Republican stances on some of the more controversial topics for fear of being labeled a flaming liberal like that old drunk Kennedy. And then there's always Zell, the epitome of the political whore who sees his party waning and joins the other side for a few more TV moments on Fox and a few more rounds of applause at the Republican convention before he sinks into the depths of his dementia.

God dammit! Too many Dems are sipping from the Bushco koolaid! They want compromise, They are afraid to say that the Iraqi war was wrong and drive home the facts that this administration has lied and lied and lied to the American Public and brought American Propaganda up to heights not seen since Nazi Germany.

Take the "L" word and use it to describe your political beliefs. Don't be so frigging afraid of alienating others by being "Liberal."

Howard Dean's new position points to a wonderful fact: The past election has proved that trying to straddle the middle does not work. It's time to take a stand and tell people what we really believe in words that are not shy.

Let's take our country back before it;s too late. These bastards in the WH are going to destroy the world if we let them.

7. i am not a liberal and call self just that, because of what right

has done to the word, and i am brave enough to challenge right with word. what i have found is the republican is surprised i would cal self. one even said, you said it not me. like i called myself a dirty name. i busted up laughing. liberal/conservative. conservative isnt a dirty word any more than liberal. this person said he associated liberal with kkk. kkk is a bad word, that is what liberal is to him
