So, is it wrong to.....
when at a bookstore, take copies of Hannity's and Coulter's books and turn them around and/or place liberal books in front of them?

I did. :D

1. Yes...
you should always do damage to them instead by taking a marker and painting horns and mustaches on their faces.

However, anyone that touches those books should carry disinfectant around with them and use it directly after contact. :-)

3. It's added work for the employees, so I don't do it.
I think the RW books are silly anyway. Out of curiosity, I've looked through a few, and it's so full of hatred, not to mention poor English. I mean, how many ways can you say "I'm right, get used to it"?

8. Yeah, that's not so bad.
A funnier statement would be to file those books in the Fiction or Science Fiction sections. :D

10. I put them in "Humor"
attractively faced-out, and alpha by author.

I do the same with "Fascinating Womanhood" and some other Fundie books, too. Bookstores appreciate the extra help, as chain places like Barnes and Noble, etc employ hardworking but perhaps less informed young people who are going to school and perhaps not informed and enlightened. Those chains are really shills for those giant corporate amoebas that think they can control the public opinion by buying up all the media outlets, anyway.

12. Well..
It makes more work for the employees, so instead you might want to print off a mini flyer with some truth about this administration and slip it into the book so if someone happened to buy the book.....

13. If it were my bookstore...
... I'd be very annoyed. I respect the rights of my customers and I expect my other customers to respect those rights as well. Anyone who cannot respect the rights of other shoppers is not welcome in my store.

Sorry if that's not the knee-jerk lefty response you expected. But mutual respect has to start somewhere.
