Anyone watch the show on Rummy on PBS last night?

I didn't watch the whole thing, because I was doing housework and such while it was on.

But one thing I heard on it really struck me: It said that leading up to the Iraq war, Bush went on vacation and left his cabinet to "fight it out" amongst themselves on what to do.

What fucking great leadership!!!

1. Only Upset If....

I actually laughed out loud at that point, when it was revealed that he went on vacation and let Donny and the rest fight it out. Yeah, but you can only get really upset if you actually thought Bush was in charge, or something like it. This guy makes Sean Penn's character in Fast Times seem downright brilliant.

The only thing I find upsetting about it is that moronic republicans think he's a "great leader".

5. My husband said Rummy

wanted to go into Iraq with only 50,000 troops. He watched; I didn't. My son, a Marine, returns to Iraq tomorrow. I'm avoiding the news. And seeing Rummy makes me livid. I can't stomach the guy.
"I'm an old man! It's early in the morning!"
And this guy is the Sec. of Defense?

6. I had seen it before, but I watched it again last night.

It is VERY eye-opening. I was sitting there shaking my head at the IDEA of 50,000 troops to take over and secure Iraq!!!

They are fucking smoking crack, they are. I swear it.

Even the 140,000 he eventually agreed to is INSANE. I consider it cruel to the troops, as well. You don't send 140,000 troops to take over and secure an entire country. THat's why that whole security vaccuum happened.

Hell, they used something like 400,000 just to go in and take Iraqi troops out of Kuwait!! That wasn't even to take over any countries, just to get one army out of another country!

Rumsfeld, et al-----> FUCKING IDIOTS. And criminals, to boot.
