1. They live in a world of their own
Ignoring that Amnesty International critiques all nations, including the United States, they pretend they ignore horrors committed by other nations. What crap!

6. I can't handle this
First Arthur Miller, then HST, and now Benenson. Each one booed and hissed of the stage by ignorant thugs who are simply dealing with sublimated anger and jealousy that their side has producing no artists, thinkers or campaigners worth a damn.

7. Real Sickos
They seem to have a gripe with the reality that compassion is a necessity. Organizations such as, Amnesty International, are symbolic of a collective interest in compassion. Therefore they revel in the death of it's founder, when actually the organization will thrive and continue to reach out to millions more.

The seed of compassion will not end with this man's death. He lives on!!!

8. They think they're right. They think they're Christians too:
We're all in this world together. If they're going to applaud the deaths of those they don't like, fine. I wonder if they'd like it should any of us do the same thing to one of their own.

It's human to say "good riddance" to someone one doesn't like.

It's Christian to turn the other cheek, not applaud such a death, and 'live and let live'.

They must not be Christians then.

And maybe I really can't wait for when the freepers realize that they're not immune to what their friends are doing to the world.

Life is what we make of it. But we refuse to even try to be better than ourselves and cave into every knee-jerk emotional response.

9. Blind hatred is their "mother's milk." It makes life worth living.
They begin each day by opening their email to those tired old Clinton or lib'ral bashing jokes, then tune into the local hate radio program of their choice, on to Fox cable news in the afternoon and evening. Its a full day of hate, hate and more hate.

10. It is consistent with what Paul Craig Roberts wrote in his article
Edited on Sat Feb-26-05 01:36 PM by BrklynLiberal
and this guy was/is a Conservative!!!
(Dr. Roberts is John M. Olin Fellow at the Institute for Political Economy and Research Fellow at the Independent Institute. He is a former associate editor of the Wall Street Journal, former contributing editor for National Review, and a former assistant secretary of the U.S. Treasury. He is the co-author of The Tyranny of Good Intentions.)

What Became of Conservatives?

by Paul Craig Roberts

I remember when friends would excitedly telephone to report that Rush Limbaugh or G. Gordon Liddy had just read one of my syndicated columns over the air. That was before I became a critic of the US invasion of Iraq, the Bush administration, and the neoconservative ideologues who have seized control of the US government.

America has blundered into a needless and dangerous war, and fully half of the country’s population is enthusiastic. Many Christians think that war in the Middle East signals "end times" and that they are about to be wafted up to heaven. Many patriots think that, finally, America is standing up for itself and demonstrating its righteous might. Conservatives are taking out their Vietnam frustrations on Iraqis. Karl Rove is wrapping Bush in the protective cloak of war leader. The military-industrial complex is drooling over the profits of war. And neoconservatives are laying the groundwork for Israeli territorial expansion.
<snip>
In the ranks of the new conservatives, however, I see and experience much hate. It comes to me in violently worded, ignorant and irrational emails from self-professed conservatives who literally worship George Bush. Even Christians have fallen into idolatry. There appears to be a large number of Americans who are prepared to kill anyone for George Bush.

Edited to add more of the beginning of the article.

11. In their eyes, anyone who criticizes the U.S. for anything
(even if it's justifiable or in the context of criticizing other countries) is a legitimate target for hatred.

They are cult-like in their chauvinism.
