Bush is about to change his message about Social Security I think
This is just my gut feeling and knowing how they operate but I think Bush knows the privatization idea is lost and so now he his going to change his message from Privatization to "solving the problem". The end result will be much like what Democrats have been proposing all along but Bush will try to take credit for solving the problem by saying he took on the problem. Rove will have him start saying "We new we had to start a duologue to solve the problems with social security, we took the lead and now we have fixed the problem." No one will remember how they pushed privatization and Bush will look like he is the one who solved the problem simply by making it an issue EVEN though Democrats will have won the debate on HOW to fix Social Security. What I hate abut Bush is no matter how often he is wrong he is "never" wrong!!!! He always seems to change his message and take credit for something even though it was never part of his plan.

1. Bush/Rove's idea of leadership is to determine which way the herd
is stampeding, get in front and shout "FOLLOW ME". All that from someone who said polls don't matter.
:hi:

2. You hit the nail on the head. Bush is desparate as those housewives on
Sunday night searching for a 'legacy' other than the TurdBlossoms he's given us. A never-ending war and a stagnant economy with deficits in trade and budget putting us into hock till Kingdom Come.

The moniker of Worst President Ever will stick to him like glue unless he can find more than Lieberman to back him up.

To all the Democratic members of Congress out there: Continue to resist any and all efforts Bush makes on Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid unless, and this is a BIG UNLESS...Bush has cancelled making permanent his TAX CUTS TO THE WEALTHY !

This is the only way to deal with him. Cut his legs out from under him first !

4. Bush wants it privatized more than he wants it fixed.
I don't think he will give up on privatization. He will call it choice and empowering the people. He needs privatization to pay off wall street and try to get people to think that since they are stock holders they should vote republican.

5. I have to agree with you.
The repukes have been after social security for a long time, like since it was introduced and bu$h has his eyes on the $$$$ locked up in the SS fund. He will do everything to get it free from the government control and into the hands of those who have groveled at his feet the wealthy money market lords.
Don't trust anything they say, even if it look like they are changing their message, keep you eyes on the back side.
