Latest Ipsos/Reid Poll: Bush re-elect still only 41%
Here are the latest numbers (no change from last month):

Definitely re-elect Bush: 41%
Definitely vote against Bush: 31%
Consider someone else: 26%

Even at the height of the war Bush's re-elect number was only 47% (in April).

It is repetitive but these numbers are not good for an incumbent. Only 41% re-elect is pretty lousy. Tim Hutchenson, William Roth, Spencer Abrams, and Rod Grams were in this neighborhood prior to their defeats for re-election to the senate. Arlen Specter who has a primary challenge on the right and a tough opponent on the democratic side with Joe Hoeffel is also at 41% re-elect and the pundits say he is "vulnerable"--why don't the pundits say the same thing about this president?

1. The latest Newsweek poll
47% said yes and 46% said no to "In general, would you like to see George W. Bush re-elected to another term as president?"

Also, it's not exactly scientific polling, but the online poll at Newsweek that asks the same question has 20% saying yes and a staggering 78% saying no. Link: http://www.msnbc.com/news/938046.asp

We can beat this twerp!

2. Now that the media sharks have smelled the blood in the water,
maybe they will start announcing AWOL's re-select numbers. Everytime they mention polls, they never say what his re-selects are, and they have always been low.

4. Less Than 50%
For an incumbent is not good at all.

"Re-electability" is the key to follow on incumbents in polls...

Let's hope it stays that way for Captain Un-Elected.
