Have Any Of The Dire Predictions Of The Christian Right
Edited on Sun Mar-13-05 11:51 PM by ruggerson
come to pass in the year since Massachussetts legalized same sex marriage?

Has civilization been destroyed? Has God destroyed Tewksbury? Did a great pestilence hit Waltham? Has Plymouth been obliterated by locusts?

Just wondering.

2. No armageddon stuff but,
there was a flurry of new joint checking accounts, prenup agreements, receptions and the like. Are people in Mass even talking about it now?
Seems like the whole issue has dropped off the radar screen there. Leave it up to Romney to dig it up when he sprints for the White House.

Cheers!

3. No, and their divorce rate is still the lowest in the country.
Men aren't deserting their wives and children to marry each other, nobody's getting struck by lightning, and Beacon Hill hasn't deflated into Beacon Valley.

So, I would say God is on the side of the gays.

6. Why dosen't anyone point these things out!!!
I do remember seeing some data on out-of-wedlock birthrates and pornography consumption. Mass ranked among the lowest in both. I guess liberals don't get too hung up on their sexual insecurities.
The highest divorce rate I saw was Nevada and the rest were bible belt states. WTF?! I didn't see anyone pointing these details out in the greater media.

7. Actually, the world already ended
the day after gay marriages started. But with Heaven being the ultimate bureacracy, God's not finished with the paperwork yet. You wouldn't believe all those environmental impact reports that have to be filed before there's a full-scale Armagedon!
