Laurie Garrett, Newsday reporter who resigned on Democracy Now right now
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 09:22 AM by tinanator
The Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who resigned in protest of media mismanagement is giving a great overview of the decline of domestic media management on Democracy Now today. If you cant see or hear DN it is available on their website archive at some point.

1. I thought that was an interesting show today.
Between newspapers who care more about stock values than news and the the two VNRs that they showed....

Newsday reminded me of the company that I used to work for. It wasn't a matter of the stock prices - but our subsidiary had the same idea about reducing the work force and creating a cheaper (and crappier) product. Around the same time too. The business model of the 90's.
