DeLay is as slick and smarmy as they get. The nerve of this little prick shit grandstanding about Terri Shiavo is a travesty. He could give a rats turd about this poor woman, yet he'll walk all over her to get his ugly face on tv and talk of outrage. Politicizing this families medical troubles is so republican.

2. Political grand standing. They have used this young woman's

horrible situation for political gain. Now they have used their bullying and their little sound bites with the media's help to get the Democrats to agree to this Bill that is not a federal issue but a STATES. Like Gay Marriage WAS a state by state issue that the right abused during the election to ensure dubya got elected.

They take these tubes out of babies everyday all over the U.S. Do they not know that? Do they not care about those children that are born with such horrible birth defects; however, they can continue to "exist" as long as they have a feeding tube? They will have no life, but they will not die as long as the feeding tube stays in.

Delay has opened up a whole can of worms with this one. I hope some hospital nurses start calling in and telling about the babies they have had to take out feeding tubes on. Then ask why nothing was done for these children? Or parents of these children. The parents, who made the decision to remove their child's feeding tubes so they could go ahead and die instead of just existing. Terry Schiavo is "existing." How many of you would want to have existed like this for 15 years so far? I wouldn't plus I have a living will.

You can get free forms on line to write one up I'm sure. Or get one from your Family doctor, or get one from the Medical Records Department in your local hospital. You just have to have it notarized in front of a witness. Basically, you can write your wishes on a plain piece of paper as long as you can clearly state your wishes. Plus, have that notarized with a witness as well.

Even though I was torn about removing a "feeding" tube compared to a ventilator, it should have stayed a private matter in this family. However, once the parents took it into the courts, and then the husband did the same thing, it made it very public.

They really need to drop "The United States of America" and only call this country "America." Lose all the State names as well as the states individual constitutions. Why vote for Governors? We don't need them anymore either. No more state legislatures. Looks like we can save a lot of money in taxes. We will only have federal taxes. No more judges have to be chosen for the states. We can use the Supreme Court of the U.S. for all of our criminal system. No more state anything.

Democrats do not have any guts to stand up to Mr. Ethics himself? Maybe his situation should be reviewed again. I mean should a man be the Chairman of the Ethics Committee as well as Speaker of the House and the third in line for the President in case something happened to the President and Vice President while he is under investigation for his lack of ethics. Somebody do something about this. He is under investigation. Does he think this will change the facts of how he abused and used those with the money for trips and searches?

Because Delay said yesterday the names of Boxer and two other Dems who just left the Senate and wouldn't address this issue. Delay and Blunt have used their so-called compassion for political gain. If it were not for political gain, they would not be standing there in front of the cameras. They would stay in the background and see if the court in Florida is going to leave their bill standing. How many news conferences have they had since yesterday?

Delay has actually successfully pushed the Dems into the corner with this one. He knows with all the media on this that any Dems that did not agree to this would be committing political suicide if they did not go along with what the Republicans wanted. They know in their minds and the constitution that this is for states to solve but if they don't go along with it, Delay will make them out to be murderers.

All you Republicans out there, are you happy about the way your Majority Leadership is changing the Constitution of this country.

Tom Delay is placing judgment on Schiavo's husband. No one has all the facts about what went on between she and her husband. All anyone has heard is what her parents and siblings "claim" has and has not been done.

I hope Mr. Schiavo can sue his ass for defamation. Oops, I forgot, that would be one of those frivolous lawsuits the average person cannot do anymore.

I can hardly wait to see what the Right is going to do next to place another tear through our Constitution. Hell, just burn the damn thing. It means nothing anymore anyway.
