I just finished listening to the senior news analyst on All Things Considered on NPR. It’s worth taking a couple of minutes and listening to his views on the case.

It was heartening to hear someone from the media call attention to the manipulation of the right wing House and Senate members and the Bush administration in this case and question their manipulation into their desires to cut medicaid.

March 21, 2005 · The case of Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged Florida woman at the center of a medical controversy, is now inextricably linked to politics and morality.

There was a great interview with a Dr who was her guardian in '03.

The guy is an MD, an attorney and teaches at one of the universities down there...

Was this the segment where they also talked about the Schiavo family saying they would do this procedure and then that procedure---even open heart surgery, if it would keep Terri Schiavo right now? I wish more people could hear that, it really helps explain Michael Schiavo's position!

Mr. Shore has long been one of the most intelligent and eloquent journalists. I wish he would write a book or two.

Staying Tuned : A Life in Journalism...in 2002, in 1970 he wrote a book entitled: Don't get sick in America...not sure it's the same Daniel Schorr but I'd guess so. Also see: Clearing the Air and Forgive us our Press Passes (collective writings.)

8. I heard this last night in my car- he has it right on every count

he really nails the hypocracy of Bush's policies re Medicaid and insurance reform as it relates to Terri's medical care.
