The feeling I have is just about as bad as it was around the time of the LA riots in April 92. I dreaded this happening when bush stole it 2000. The worst part is that we are going to have to wait out another 4 years before it's over. I am not sure the country is going to hold it together that long.

Marc Maron does a rant in an Air America ad that sums it up: We're in for more unemployment, homeless people, suicides, violence, drug addiction, etc. We're already starting to see it (how many multiple shootings in the past week alone?) -- people are angry and spoiling for a fight (which may explain the strong feelings on both sides of the Schiavo case). It won't just end when Chimperor's term ends, either ... The changes they've wrought on this country will endure, as will the effects. I'm trying to stay hopeful but it's growing very difficult for me.

that the GOP is able to conjure up their following at will and ambush any particular situation/subject that may be at hand... we democrats, on the other hand, take years of torment and unjust treatment before we will come together as a people and finally defeat the censorship, injustice, war-mongering, and religious push.
