interesting/informative graphic explaining TS's brain condition
I apologize if this has already been posted at some point, and also for the fact that it's a tad late; just came across it and thought it might help explain exactly what is going on with her brain, and also lay to rest the ridiculous notion that Terri Schiavo is merely "disabled":

1. The Delta Waves also represent the cortical activity
of either your average FOX news viewer or Bush voter

2. It's what I've tried to argue
but face it, some feel better with going on emotion. It makes their cause easier to feel they are doing right.

3. This is exactly the sort of information all media outlets should have been
offering all week, for the education of their readers and viewers. As opposed to such irresponsible things as an interview with psychic John Edwards--which will someday be cited as one of the low points in the "journalism" of this age, I'm sure.

Good graphic. I wonder if more than these two large market newspapers ever picked it up.

5. Nope, he was on Faux - The Replay of Thursday's daily Show
Edited on Sun Mar-27-05 10:03 AM by Selteri
pointed it out.

In his opening sketch he first covers CNN, MSNBC and FOX

He points out that one of our lawbreakers in media calls it Murder. You know the guy, he ousted Valery Plume in the Press - Yes, it's Robert Novak care of CNN.

He draws particular attention to 'Joe Scarborough' asking if Michael Shivo is a Nazi.

He asks one question afterwards.

What's wrong with them.

He also points out that they are pointing out that Judge Greer 'wants her dead' after his 'evil plan of being randomly assigned to the case is paying dividends.

Then it's Pat Buchanan agreeing with a Rabbi 'It is my turn to speak but the Rabbi is exactly right!' (Still amazing considering his words on Jews in the past.)

He covered MSNBC including Chris Mathews of Hardball. 'They may be unsettling but they are also fun to raise." JS - Calling you a dick for saying iy is fun."

" But As always we leave it to Fox to truly stretch the limits of whom may lend some expertise." - JOHN EDWARDS.

John Stewart continues, "of course, he would never step into this moral quagmire based upon the experiences of his invented profession."

John Edwards - infers that she can't talk with her brain but she can communicate through her soul 'loud and clear'.

(He finishes with - There is a plug I'd like to pull it is... it is to those stations.) (Edit)

6. John Edward, sorry. He was on the March 24 edition of Fox & Friends
Media Matters http://mediamatters.org/items/200503250006 has a video clip of it:

"DOOCY: You mentioned the Terri Schiavo case. Some might wonder, "Well, you know what, I wonder if he could communicate with her."

EDWARD: I do believe that the soul, the consciousness, can communicate when they're in a state, whether it be a mentally incapacitated person, someone who's in a coma. It's a consciousness, and the soul has a living consciousness. So whether it's in a physical vehicle or not, there is still the ability to connect. Many people will have what they call out-of-body experiences, or astral dreams. Two very living people, that are healthy, could have a kind of connection in a dream state that can be validated. So why not somebody who's in this case?

DOOCY: So she may not be able to talk with her brain, but she can with her soul --

EDWARDS: But she's clear on what's going -- and I can tell you that she's definitely clear on what's happening now around her."

I originally saw a Jon Stewart clip on it. Awful, huh?
