I need help! This is really bugging me
This week abu ghraib was attacked by 60 insurgents with machine guns,RPGs and 2 car bombs injuring dozens and dozens of our troops,.........

but no mention if we got any of the attackers, I assume they all got away and the military is too embarrased,........

what's the scoop on this story?

1. I heard on the radio that it was Al Queda.
Remember the guys who weren't in Iraq before we invaded? Seems like we invited them right in.

2. That's a good point.
I never did hear what happened to the attackers, either. It's like a big part of the story was just left out. Did they get away?

I'm assuming they did, because if they hadn't and if US forces had captured some or all of them, THAT would be all over the news.

4. Story from innocent bystanders here
As far as the attackers' loses go: "While conceding its sophistication, a US spokesman said the assault did not breach the walls, free inmates or kill coalition forces and was therefore a failure, costing the insurgents dozens dead and wounded."
