1. Yes, hopefully someone will post a link. I don't have it.

His image was shown on some big screens outside and the people waiting to see the Pope broke out in boos.

But what else would we expect? He is an international war criminal, a violator of human rights. He deserves every boo and then some. In a truly just world, he'd be in prison right now.

2. Seems to be true
Was wideley reported that when Bush's image was broadcast on the large screens around Rome, he was booed.

Haven't seen it, but would love to if someone has a clip.

3. No video, but here's a link to an article
Pope John Paul II Is Laid to Rest

Ten minutes before the scheduled start of the funeral, the U.S. delegation arrived, headed by President Bush, and including his father, former President George H.W. Bush, and former President Bill Clinton.

President Bush sat on the aisle in the second row, next to his wife, Laura. Beside them were French President Jacques Chirac and his wife, Bernadette. The two presidents shook hands.

When Bush's face appeared on giant screen TVs showing the ceremony, many in the crowds outside St. Peter's Square booed and whistled.

8. Do you know if Bush has heard about it? There is no way he could have
known about it when it actually happened. Clinton was applauded and Bush booed - just wonder if Bush knows about it - so he can be jealous of Clinton.

12. If he was told about it
he is probably too stupid to understand that whistling is a sign of disapproval in Europe.

4. Here's one report:

And here's another excerpt from that report that warrants separate discussion:

... and made clear that he disagrees with former President Clinton's assessment that the pontiff leaves a mixed legacy.

What a fucking HYPOCRITE!!!

5. Here's another (good site, by the way):
http://www.watchingamerica.com/derspiegel000003.html

//George W. Bush had also brought a high-ranking delegation to Rome, which included his father, George Bush, his predecessor, Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. At St. Peter's Square, Bush sat in the second row of honored guests. The seats were arranged in alphabetical order, after the French names for each nation. Beside Bush sat French President Jacques Chirac. About 40 members of the U.S. Congress were also in attendance. The huge crowd gathered in the Square reacted with booing and catcalls when a large television monitor carried a close-up of the President and Mrs. Bush.//

13. Thanks!
I've been using Google almost exclusively for a long while, and to good effect. But I never bothered to try out that News thingie on the top line. I've been cheating myself. I also tried the others, and will probably be up all night, trying out this new toy.

I also notice that it works like Advanced Search ... ie: no need for quotes.

No & No

10. Italians jeered at his motorcade...
From Reuters...

Many Italians also firmly opposed the war and crowds jeered at Bush's motorcade as it approached the Vatican.
