Tornado Warnings and Heavy Rain last night and
Hurricane season starts in six weeks. At least I don't have to shovel snow.

1. We have a weather group now
If you're interested. This is prime stormy season and I'm a weather freak. Hurray for spring!

2. Thanks very much for the info
I'm not smart in any technical way but I do enjoy tracking the weather. I'll contribute from south Mississippi.

6. YW, I may be moving to the MS coast by hurricane season
Maybe July or August.

I love watching Earth systems run amok.

7. We live
about 50 miles northwest of Gulfport close to the Louisiana line. Gulfport and Biloxi are booming population wise. Our location is ideal, one hour to the coast and one hour to the french quarter.

8. I love it down there
Even though the politics are red, the area is a good vibe.

4. Weather is just so bizarre
Last night, it was end of the world weather, this morning is sunny and beautiful. I got the weed and feed spread yesterday; then the rain last night and this morning the lawn looks like a sheet of emerald. Hurricanes have my total respect. The History Channel had a good story "Isacc's Storm" about the Hurricane that hit Galveston in 1900. Awesome and scary.

5. awesome and scary you are right
we always get programs and movies of tornadoes lol about this time of year. sit and watch how those tornadoes develop is awesome, no better word. i am as good at looking at the doppler dave to find the hook and rotation action as any weather man. but i am telling you, watching these storms come in, the energy and wall of clouds so low, it is a site

9. Weather has been kicking Mississippi's butt
the last couple of weeks.

Usually we get it right after you guys, but so far the storms have been playing out before they get to us.

I cleaned out the "tornado closet" under our basement stairs and put the battery radio and flashlights in there. Have to be ready down here in the south.
