Whatever happened to Peter Arnett? He was the one newscaster

and correspondent who had some sense of history and integrity, IMO. He must have clashed with the culture of lies and propaganda somehow for him to be deep sixed by our media moguls.

1. Last I heard of him,

he was working for Fayed's rag, the Daily Mirror. He was not renewed by CNN after the Tailwind report. After that, he was in Iraq for MSNBC but was canned for his remarks on Iraqi TV regarding the failure of the war plan.

2. He is -figuratively- a casulity of war (many not quite like Hanoi Jane-

but quite close!!

3. Makes you see why the rest of the media is so cowed. NOBODY wants to

loose their job. This tells the press"This is what will happen to YOU if you do not toe the line."
