If the true numbers for this War on Iraq ever get out,the American people
Edited on Wed Apr-27-05 06:36 AM by KlatooBNikto
are going to be ashamed and appalled that they let these evil gangsters commit aggression against an unarmed country.I am talking about the number of soldiers killed in and out of action, soldiers maimed and scarred permanently, the number of civilians killed or wounded, the number of prisoners tortured, the real dollars spent and the lies uttered by this administration to maintain the illusion of threat for this war.

Until these men are completely repudiated, this country will never become whole again.A Nuremberg like Tribunal will be needed to restore our health as a country.

I am not sure that at least half of the country will ever be "ashamed or apalled". They like aggression and war. Their brains have been turned to mush and their emotions cranked up to a fevered pitch, based on a pack of lies, perpetrated by the MSM.
How are they ever going to wake up unless the 'war' comes to their lives, personally?
This country(USA) is a spectator sport country. And war is sport for many.
I fear that only a civil war would shake them.

4. I agree with you. This horrible slaughter is making some people in this
country feel 'tough', like we're still number 1. Our economy is in the dumper, the rich are stealing everyone blind, our government is run by con men and criminals, the jobless rate is skyrocketing and even if you have a job a living wage is out of the question. So beating up another country is making these people feel good.

8. Rumsfeld, at one time called it Total Information Dominance. That
simply means, nothing closely resembling the truth will ever be allowed to get out. He had his right hand man, John Poindexter of Iran-Contra fame, head up this effort. And, with his characteristic thoroughness, old Long John Silver did a bang up job.I don't know what crevices he is hanging out in but eventually the toad will emerge to continue his merry evil deeds,I am sure.

9. I am afraid you too may be more on the mark than I. Putting our faith
on abstract concepts like "the American people" has a placebo effect that hides the cancer growing on our souls. Look at the way Marla Ruzicka and Rachel Corrie are allowed to be defamed even after their deaths by the rightwing shills.
