Are viewers of Lou Dobbs mostly Dems?
The reason I ask, is that I always thought Lou was a real conservative. I remember when he show was almost all about the stock market. But recently, all his questions of the days have had what look like Dem results.

Todays question is "do you support the use of the filibuster? The results, right now, are 87% yes and 13% no.

I'd love to believe this was the results from actual thinking Americans, and not just Dems, but I suspect I'm being a little too hopful!

1. Dobbs is an independent thinker who speaks for the middle class.
He is tough on both democrat and republican politicians when he believes they are betraying their constituents.

That said, I suspect his audience is democrats, independents and moderate republicans. The Fox crowd would never listen to someone who isn't a yes man for Bush.

4. So can I assume that the majority of Americans agree with Lou,
Edited on Wed Apr-27-05 05:56 PM by napi21
thus agree with the Dems? I have to say, every poll he has had, in a very long time, I've agreed with the majority!

Are a MAJORITY of Americans actually starting to see the light, and maybe regreting who they voted for????

8. Since only 1% voted for Nader, I think we can assume that the
vast majority of Democrats are fiscal conservatives too. We have to pay our way. We are dependent on the economy. The Liberals in Canada who keep winning are fiscal conservatives too.

5. Lou Dobbs started space.com
That is where his real interests lie... the future of the space industry.

11. Did he really? (re: space.com) I didn't know that.
I always thought Lou was a traditional conservative. Bush and co are NOT conservatives by any real defination.

6. He's anti-Bush administration policies, that's for sure
Some have claimed that he's a libertarian -- others have said that he's an Opus Dei Catholic -- I go by what he says. This is the problem with labels, one makes assumptions. He's Lou Dobbs :)

I like the man a whole lot. He's consistent. He's been the only one banging the drum against outsourcing and illegal immigration and the issues it is causing. If he were to announce his candidacy within ANY party, I'd switch if I had to just to vote for him in the primary and then to support him in the general.

12. His confrontation of corporatism,...really pulls me in!!!
He is the only media guy who actually flat out states that government policies are advancing big corporate interests,...which is totally true.

7. I would think his viewers are packed with business types. Because
Edited on Wed Apr-27-05 06:29 PM by applegrove
unlike the Weekly Standard... they can get the actual truth. You can tell by the number of willing kool-aid drinkers who go on and try and make their case that they regard the program as important.

Anyone in business should watch that show. Anyone invested in or running a company.

It is an important show.

The business people need good information just like real people do. So they can make good decisions.

It was called Exporting America. It was pretty good reading.

10. He's actually a conservative *LOL*.
The difference between him and the Republicans in charge is that he still has the conservative value of protecting the interests of Americans. Whereas, the Republicans in charge are totally self-interested HOs to multi-national US corporacrats. They sold their souls for money,...Lou sticks with the conservative value of taking care of your own, first.
