OMG, this man is President of the US. How embarrassing!
Did he even understand the questions being asked? He had canned responses by subject matter and it sounded so foolish to bring out the canned answer that was unresponsive to the question being asked.

1. Ha ha, my local station spent 30 seconds on showing Bush
at the end of the conference. Since then they haven't said a word about it but went on to other news that has nothing to do with it, no analysis, no rehash, nothing.

2. Those were not canned questions.
Those reporters could have asked any one of the questions that the WH submitted to them.

Everytime I hear or see this idiot, I think of that headline in the Uk paper (I think it was the Guardian) on the day after the election
"How can ....million people be that stupid!"

7. I watched with awe at the "I am not a lawyer" dance
I shook my head...no, asshole, you are the PRESIDENT. And if your people aren't preparing you ahead of a major and rare press conference so that you can ANSWER likely questions, you've got bigger problems than not knowing the details!

Ugh, he is a PUTZ.

6. I don't think of him as the president.
I really don't.

I just think of him as that clown pretending to be president.

24. Could it be Imposter Syndrome?
I read that some people, mostly heavy drinkers, pretend to be what they aren't so you won't know how really screwed up they are.

8. Bush hurt himself badly tonight
Again, asbestos reform is vital to fixing our economy? This guy is clueless and anyone watching him, other than right wing pundits, knows it.

12. The news in the past 36 hours
has reported that moderate republicans are turning on the president. I think that is a huge sign of what direction events are heading in. Your pointing out that he's been below 50% for a while is exactly right.

25. Umm... that's not what I'm seeing here:

Looks to me like neither folks in the red states OR the blue states much like him except on the issue of terrorism. Yes, his ratings are higher in the red states, but they're still below 50 percent on every issue, save terrorism.

26. The high #'s in the 'terrorism' category are due to
'fear responses' - they fear for their personal bod's. Once they realize that he is doing all he can to increase terrorism those #'s will plummet.

The ? is - How do we get the MSM to do that?

But, I only caught the post press conference spin and they were all praising how he said that Bush disagreed with Dobson on people that oppose him are not against religion (or whatever it was)

10. It takes me back watching him
It's like judging a really bad high school debate round where a really unprepared debater still feels compelled to stand up and bs with no evidence for the entire 8 minutes allotted for his or her speech. The senseless rambling interpspesed with awkwardly long pauses as he thinks of the next dumb thing to say until time mercifully expires...aaargh it's like torture!

Bolton might be a seasoned asshat, but not a diplomat.
