WMD's??

Since the word "weapons", plural, is already used in WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) why do I see and hear apostrophe 's' tagged to it?

Kind of like saying "PIN number"...isn't it?

They(we) don't say, "We never found the WMD." Nope, they(we) say, "We never found the WMD's".

4. How 'bout a collective noun for WMD that would ease the problem?

I sggest we change it to cluster-fuck and move on to more important matters like promoting the fact that the neocons lie about cluster-fucks
while making billion$ in profits for their buds while S troops and innocent Iraqis die.

"WMD" is a UN term only; it doesn't exist outside of that.

Weapons experts not with the UN call "WMD" either NBC (military; 'nuclear/bio/chem') or ABC (non-military weapons experts; 'Atomic/bio/chem).

With the UN term "WMD", it's (a)weapon of mass destruction OR weaponS of mass destruction.

There should NOT be any "s" added;

"We didn't find the WMD." Only context will tell you if that's singular or plural WMD.

Damn...the advantages of being married to an NBC expert! :D
