Opt out of pre-approved credit offers
Tired of sending back those credit card offers stuffed with whatever they sent you minus anything with your name on it, so you can make them pay the postage? Go to this site and opt out of these offers:

Takes 2 minutes

3. I actually prefer
to send them mail order catalogs. If you are meticulous in your work, you can fit almost all of a J. Marco catalog in a legal size envelope. I can make the winter LL Bean catalog fit in three credit card offers.

It is:
1. fun
2. environmentally responsible (at your location)
3. expensive for the credit card companies

If you have kids, you can make a game out of how much goes in the envelope. You can keep both your kids and the card companies occupied. Life is good.......

5. Hmmmm, in most cases I'd agree with you, but they are using a
secure socket layer on their website (not very common amongst scammers) and they also have a phone number you can call to opt out (also not common for a scammer).

7. I opted out about a month or so ago, and it's really made a drop
in the junk credit offers I get. In a few more weeks, they'll be a distant memory.

:) I like my shredder to have a break now and then. :)

8. Thanks for the link! I already used it.
Sure I use the back of the BS for scrap paper, but I'm really tired getting this junk, and I'm looking forward to have it slow down to a slow crawl.

I also sent the link to all my friends in my address book. Maybe we can force them to stop the junk mail.
