I just read something from "From The Wilderness" for the first time.

4. I'm home now listening to the laughter of my daughter
in the living room and got some hope back, but damn what a pit I fell into reading that!
I'm kinda embarrassed I made the post now... :eyes:

2. Quite brutal it is
and very disturbing. I was on that site months ago and was very upset by what I read. Surpried? Not particularly. Determined? You bet.

9. nike's position as an authority on the peak oil scam is REALLY hard to
swallow.

He's in way over his head with this one.

7. Ruppert is preparing himself and urging others to do it in any way they
can...but he was very upset by the latest election/selection and he was looking to "flee" like many of us. I think he gets a little OTT sometimes, but he's always a good read and gives a viewpoint we don't often see.

I just wouldn't get too worked up about this...even though he's probably
correct in some ways...Peak Oil isn't gonna happen tomorrow, so there's time to start preparing in our own ways as he is doing.

It's good to be more self-sufficient than not. I thought that was what he was saying when I read this back in March. He just want's to move faster than maybe the rest of us are able to do.

8. Yeah...I just posted in another reply
that as long he's wrong about it being too late I can take it.
I've been wondering since the 70's why people weren't more concerned.
I'd say "Even if the earth was a giant hollow ball filled with oil it'll still run out sometime".
Not many were listening then, so the heightened concern is a good thing. Panic would suck, though.
