If the Freepers threaten Galloway w. death, why can't the Left...
...do the same???

I am *so sick* of the Left not realizing this is a *WAR* (Rove sure does), and letting armed terrorists (the Bush cabal) conquer the planet and destroy (irrevocably) the environment.

Yes, it is a WAR - and it is time for people on the Left to realize it, before we are all in forced military service, concentration camps or murdered by Bush's next terrorist (biowarfare) attack.

2. I'm not sure. The Freepers threaten folks on the Left all the time...
...and it seems to receive a 'wink and a nod' from *everyone.* That is why we can't win. They should not have a monopoly on tactics - why let the Reichwing brainwash us into thinking that should be the case?

3. It does tick me off that every half hearted "I dunno Bush is kinda bad"
by anyone left of Dobson is like the end of civil discourse as we know it but Dick Cheney himself could tell the whole world to fuck off and the press would say "Dick Cheney today expressed understandable frustrations at world opinion."

4. Well they are currently flipping out over his testimony on the top
Edited on Tue May-17-05 01:07 PM by izzybeans
three threads of their website. I'd be willing to bet there are a fair amount of threats in them. The main thread is too long for me know. I might go over it when I get the time.

odds are probably 1:1 so no one's a winner either way. They started flipping out and calling Norm Coleman, "not the second coming of the great Joe McCarthy, but a limp wristed Frenchy" or something to that effect. It's actually pretty funny stuff if you go check it out. On edit: Funny, in a "I can't believe that people can be this stupid kind of way."

5. Because, contrary to popular belief, Freepers do not adequately
represent those folks who call themselves conservatives and/or republicans. They are on the extreme right (just as some here on DU are on the extreme left) and their opinions do not pass the smell test.

While the Freepers do their little jig while annointing King George as the chosen of God, the vast majority of republicans and conservatives are becoming more and more disenchanted with the administration. Flag waving can only hide the fact that much of what this administration does flies directly contrary to the party belief of small and limited government.

Any moderate voice of reason is silenced at FR (as it is at other RW sites). They adore sending trolls and other evildoers over here to cause waves... then they point to their own handywork with calls of censorship on DU. The truth of the matter is that if RimJob and his band of merry men weren't so diligent in removing the most inflamatory of posts, FR would have long enough been shut down.

But back to your main premise of a "war" going on, I have to agree. I only disagree on the players. We are not at war with the GOP as a whole. Indeed, all of us who stand somewhere short of the most extremes of either end of the parties are at war with those on the outer edges. We do not want a state religion anymore than we want our history swiped of every reference of religion. We do not want millions of people dying from disease, genocide, war or starvation anymore than we want millions of fetuses to be aborted without careful consideration.

Threatening people is for the less evolved.

8. Because threats are wrong and illegal?
Hell... if killing people is all right, why, just let those rightwingers go wild! Why not?

Sorry, I'm a liberal for a reason, and not because I want to be sandal-wearing version of the right.
