Poll question: What will happen to Iran this summer?
I'm worried that, with or without Bolton to bully them, we are heading for a showdown at the UN over Iran. So is Kofi Annan.

Of course, if we confront Iran, either directly or through our proxy Israel, we would be taking on Iran and Syria. They do have a mutual self defense pact. That's two more quagmires to look forward to.

So, what do you think will happen?

6. That's what I fear.
More shock n awe. More suicide bombings. More beheadings. More hundreds of billions of dollars flushed down the toilet.

Oh well, at least we'll control all the oil! (sarcasm, of course)

2. I could be wrong, but i don't think anything concrete will happen
this year. I think they are going to try what they did with Iraq - and wait till the midterms so they can drum up support for Republicans in Congress.

3. I think they'll save North Korea for mid-terms.
But I think they'll want to take out the reactor at Bushehr before they get it up and running this summer.

5. It depends..
If Bush's approval rating continues to drop I see them trying to do something with special forces(US or Israeli or both).I doubt there will be "shock and awe" this time.I realize he doesnt have to worry about re-election but his cronies do.

4. If they want to bomb Bushehr
- and I think they do - they will have to do it before it's operational, to avoid the nuclear pollution spreading all over the place. It will be operational this summer. But we'll see.
