Galloway vs. The US Senate: Download the full 47mins...
Edited on Tue May-17-05 06:41 PM by jmc777
--------------------------------------------
Before I go any further, Don Claybrook has posted a link to a full version that's around 12MB here. If you want to get that version go see his thread.
--------------------------------------------

Before you download...

This is a downloadable version of the BBC news website stream. It's a 78MB .wmv file, so if you're on dial-up give it a miss - downloading it will take forever.

I don't know how long this link will last, so it's first come first serve. If the link dies, maybe someone who managed to download it - and has a fast upload speed - would kindly go to www.yousendit.com and upload it again, then post the link here.

1. Um - CBC radio played an old interview with him (I think) where he
Edited on Tue May-17-05 06:29 PM by applegrove
talked about how awful the UN program was (I don't know the date of this interview - but from sometime in the past). He said - at the time - it was killing people.

Could it be that this man was played by Saddam and given false information about the UN Oil for Food Program (psychopaths will do that - especially someone as manipulative & talented at it as Saddam - why Saddam fooled all the neocons..now that is one scary manipulator). Could this be how the man got involved, because he seems to speak from the heart and would thus be easy to manipulate, for the right reasons and now is trying to figure out why he is under investigation?

He claims his name is on Iraqi documents he has nothing to do with.

Who knows. But at some point in the past this man thought the UN Oil for Food Program was killing Iraqis and he was outraged at the UN.

3. Perhaps I was wrong about the age of the hatred of the UN program.
Too late to self delete.

4. The sanctions DID kill Iraqis, half a million Iraqi children died
and the oil for food Program never worked. He was outraged at the sanctions and rightly so, imo.

5. Yes - I know that. That is why I think we should have gone into
Iraq a decade ago, under the UN.

I just got the 'timing' of his statements on the Oil for Food Program wrong. I wasn't really paying attention to the first recording. Then when they said "from a recent interview with him" and he talked about today's allegations.. I assumed it was old rhetoric on his part.

If he is still singing the same tune.. then he seems more credible to me.

I was wrong in my initial post.

Still - someone is lying big time about this. Could be the Iraqi Batthists used him as some sort of cover or screen or fall-guy when Saddam knew he was going to be invaded and it would all come out.
