we know the horror stories of the religious oppression of women and certain religious customs that offend our western minds, but this is not exclusive to islam. women are treated abominably the world over, in every culture.

but that's exactly where the fundies in america are headed, back in time to biblical punishments like beheading for stealing bread. biblical justice they call it, an eye for an eye, pre jesus, old testement stuff. hanging abortion doctors, punishing women for being whores and getting abortions, shutting down women's clinics, etc.

now they all feel that the entire arab world must be punished, if not wiped out, in revenge for 9-11. mass psycosis is what this is.
