$72Million dollar bonus when Troops are begging for stuff
Today I opened the Pennysaver to look at what people are selling, looking for...etc

And I see this plea for people to send Gold Bond Medicated Powder, Drink Mix, candy.. and socks...to an address in Georgia so that we can help out the troops in Iraq...

On one hand I think...this is really nice but on the other hand I think...What the hell is going on here? Men and women are getting shot at and for some reason our military can't make sure they have comfortable socks, some medicated powder for their feet and some candy and drink mix???

To top it all off...tax payer money has been given to Halliburton as a bonus??

Tell me ...how is this not a scandal? Now I think writing letters to troops and sending gifts is a nice idea too...but it just feels like these guys need stuff and they aren't getting stuff and for some reason it is more important to waste media airtime on who Paula Abdul is screwing....

1. Put all of that into a LTTE & send it off!
Send it to every local paper in your region.

I found out about corporate personhood in a letter to the editor.

2. there was a thread about a month ago
about how they needed basic first aid supplies, sunscreen, bug repellant, and a bunch of other stuff you'd think the military would have provided.

It's so pathetic and makes me think of all the dough spent on those stupid metallic ribbons was spent to really support the troops, they'd be so much better off. To say nothing of all the money being extorted and going unaccounted for by the ethically challenged and sleazy and greedy war profiteers. Ughhhhh
