LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Porn star and former gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey will be joining her boss, Kick Ass Pictures president Mark Kulkis, in attending a dinner with President Bush in Washington, D.C. on June 14th. Kulkis was invited to attend the event by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), which is organizing the event.

Over a two-day course of NRCC events preceding the dinner, Carey and Kulkis will be attending a meeting with presidential advisor Karl Rove, giving their recommendations on important national issues.

Now, I'm not making any judgements on the Adult Industry. That's another thread for another time. I'm just wondering if Focus on the Family and all those of the same ilk will be overlooking this? What about all their fundy worshippers who believe * is the Second Coming of Christ. I know the Jesus from the Bible would certainly sit down with Ms. Carey, but since * is holier than the entire Trinity combined, I figured his followers from the Christo-Fascist Zombie-Brigade would be outraged.

I wonder if * even understands what it is Ms. Carey and Mr. Kulkis do for a living. Perhaps the ever-sexy karl rove would draw some pictures and help out little shrubbie?

11. Don't take it to heart, Kerrytravelers - threads fly by on DU

Even though I'm a stay at home mom I can't sit by my computer all day and keep up with each new thread posting. Ususally I can only do quick scans of the first page or two of threads before duty calls. The amount of info and threads that get posted on DU is mindboggling to me; it's amazing how quickly new threads can get pushed down to pages 3, 4,5, etc.

There's no telling how much I miss in a day that's posted on DU. I know duplicate postings are annoying to those who get to spend a lot of time at DUn during the day, but they can also be a blessing to us once-or-twice a day visitors!
