Today was awesome from a parkinson perspective
Hello, I have parkinson's and today was the best day of my life.
Now I had serious doubts this morning see I went for a walk around the block and by the time I got home I had to litteraly crawl into my bed. My hands were doing circular movements uncontrably and than I froze in place for twenty minutes. And today is a good day.
Why because I have hope again.
I have that there will be a cure for this and other diseases. And while I realize in all likely hood chimpy "may vetoe" my efforts an advocacy paid off. Also my parkinsons' group has plans to boycott the white house if the chimp puts his paw print anywhere near it.
Anyhow to supporters of stem cell I want to say thank you so much. Theres still hurdles to climb but I know I can do it one painful step at a time. Oh and to the fristians out there who have called me all kinds of horrible names and say that a democrat cant pray or attend church well I would like to say quote a very wise rock band styx. "My god can beat up your god."
Thank you everyone peace.

1. You go, Dan!

There are millions out here pushing for stem cell reserach right along with you. It's frustrating enough for someone who doesn't have a disease or condition that would benefit from the research. I can't even begin to imagine how frustrating it must be for you and countless others to see this ridiculous political agenda stand in the way of a cure or improved treatment alternatives. Hang in there...together, we'll get it done...chimp or no chimp!

3. You take care.
It gives me a lot of courage to face my small battles to see you face yours with such grace. We all need to stick together on these things. I have great hope for stem cells. Thank you and peace to you.

4. My thoughts and prayers are with you tonight!
Especially if the ass currently occupying the WH vetoes it.

I hope you get the treatment you need soon! Keep that hope...you're going to need it. :)

5. I hope it goes through, DanCa.
My dad also has Parkinson's, but I supported the research well before he was diagnosed. It always amazes me that many of our politicians can only be empathetic when they are directly involved through a relative or a friend. Orrin Hatch and many other Republicans support embryonic stem cell research because of family members with diseases. Good luck to you.

10. I agree today was a good day

It shows that there's hope for our country to have this research. Majority of the public wants this and it passed through Congress. If Bush veto's this bill he could lose a lot of support for people with these diseases that could benefit from this research. It shows me that a lot of people are open-minded which gives me hope. It'll probably take a while but at least we know there's support. I'm sure my great-uncle would be happy about this (he died of really bad Alzheimer's).

thank you for your post as I went ballistic venting a few days ago about the chimp.

btw.. I hear there is a US educated physician curing Parkinson's in China with stem cells. He doesn't know how or why but is asking the west to help him with research.

pm me.. am hooked up with oncologist who has it as well and has been sending me latest info. He had german medical journals translated even and I can put you on email list. Have you heard of rasagaline?

13. Hey DanCa
My dad had parkinson's. I know what you are talking about.

I thought of my dad today when I heard about this bill. I think some of my mom's prayers were answered.

I have a dear friend/client with parkinson too.I watch his frustration and his courage. It tears holes in my heart. I want the cure for all of you - chimps & fristians be damned. We will defeat them in the end and give everyone a better chance at a decent & healthy life.

16. Yeah,
I thought specifically of you when I heard about the vote today. Hopefully, we can overturn the veto if the Chimp actually goes through with it (which he likely will because he is a sociopath and a narcissist who doesn't care to even try to look at anyone elses point of view and who doesn't care if other people hurt).
