The stampede of the rhinoceroses.
That ignorant boors like Tom DeLay, James Dobson,Frist and others of their ilk have taken over the conversation on the merits of stem-cell research, tells me that what Eugene Ionesco brilliantly described in his play The Rhinoceros.Ignorant to a fault, bigoted in the extreme, flaunting their piety as a talisman to ward off the evil spirits of Western concepts of Reason and Logic, these men and the herds they represenet pose not just a threat to the primacy of reason in our society, they are going to ensure the gradual decline of our society's progress in revolutionary new advances in medicine and health.It would be left to countries, like India and South Korea, to unlock the potential stem cells for preventing and curing diseases.

I hear the rhino herd thundering and it is best to get out of the way.
