There is a fundie church that I drive past on my way home.
The sign thing out front that apparently announces the sermon and probably has a name an approaching senility heathen like me doesn't know, says the following: "From the goo to the zoo to you, the stupidity of evolution." I would love to respond to these morons somehow in a way that does not expose me to arrest, injury or property damage. Any ideas?

A large sign that said "From the goo to the zoo to you people, the evolution of stupidity" would probably last about 5 minutes. Would anybody in Pinellas County, Florida like to chip in to have the Advertising Air Force fly it over? Inasmuch as they flew pro-Schindler family stuff, are they apolitical enough to do it?

1. I have one near me on my drive home
that had on their sign last week, "God answers knee mail".

I felt like calling them and saying "You misspelled 'Jeff Gannon'".

10. Alliance somethingoranother on Michigan in Dunedin (between
CR-1 and the pool). Posted this last night and then got distracted with family things and never got back to DU.

3. How on earth can you let something like this bother you?
I haven't attended church in 40 years and probably never will again.

A sign outside a church, temple,or mosque wouldn't bother me at all.

Just ignore it!

4. i was in va. or md. and saw one about iraq
had the name of a soldier, presumably a local kia, and below his name it said something about the u.s. and "army of god". made me crazy, equating the present use of the us military to a religous crusade.

6. Yup, to their way of thinking it's straight from the goo to you and don't
spill the goo or you'll wind up in hell :)

7. I think switching the words around would be hysterical...
and I think the "army of God" should be changed to the "army of dog". I bet it takes days before they notice it.

8. Let the babies have their bottle
It's the church's sign, they can put any stupidity they want up there. Any counter demonstration would just be taken by them as encouragement.

9. When I went to Downstate Illinois there were two bill boards.
One said that Jesus is pro life, another said xxxx many kids were moletested by clery abouse "got faith". On a side note I always find signs on churches tacky. Whatever happened to private devotion?
