The fundies now "own" the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

Today's and yesterday's NY Times have stories on how the fundies now dominate the U.S. Air Force Academy, and have for years. The commanding general says "...it will take six years to fix the problem." SIX YEARS??? WTF!!!

I'm sick of these bugshit insane American taliban destroying our country and our freedoms. And I'm terrified at the idea of these lunatics flying planes carrying napalm and daisy cutters, not to mention nuclear weapons.

The Air Force Academy is a government institution. The fact that these right-wing Christo-fascist fanatics have gained control of it is a testimony to how far over the cliff the Bush Administration has taken us.

(Corrections: Yesterday's NY Times piece was an editorial. The piece I read today was a reprint of a Richard Cohen editorial column from the Washington Post. Why the hell aren't they front-page news stories?)

But they don't own the state, thank God in heaven......
