There seem to be some, among the media and especially here at DU, that thrill to the joy of informing us who is electable, or not.
Now I don't mind at all when I hear a fellow Dem traveler state that although they agree with candidate X's positions a lot, they don't think that that candidate will be palatable to enough voters in a General Election.
I have similar feelings about Dennis Kucinich. Although I align myself more with him in the political spectrum, I'm supporting Dean at this time because I see a combination of political alignment (with me), and a grassroots movement which is inspiring in it's depth and breadth.
So while I'm supporting Dean, I also root for, agree with, and wish the best to Kucininch, and most of the other Dem candidates.
What I object to however, is observing certain posters here HIDE behind the 'Unelectable' fig leaf when criticizing another candidate, instead of having the balls to just come right out and own up to the fact that they do not agree with the policies of said candidate.
They pretend to be quietly reminding us of this unfortunate little truth, when in reality, they really are politically\ideologically opposed to certain candidates and there positions.
Anybody else seen this sneaky little phenomenon???
And no, I'm not gonna name names, LOL!!!
