Anybody got any dirt on the Milken Institute?
I local LTTE today cited some statistics from a Mr. DeVol of the "Milen" Institute. Immediately I became suspicious, since I've never heard of the "Milen" Institute.

However, Mr. DeVol does work at the Milken Institute I discovered.

A cursory search of Milken Institute doesn't give me much to go on. Anybody got any dirt at hand on Milken, or the Milken Institute?

Tanks in advance.

1. Why...
Isn't that Milken, as in Michael Milken?

2. So that I can refute the claims of this nut in the LTTE.
It's easy enough to get dirt on Milken himself, but I can't find much on the Milken Institute. Guess I could link to the two. But I'm trying to be direct.

4. Perhaps try "The Nation" or "Mother Jones"?
I remember reading in one of those a few years back exposes of groups involved in trying to undercut and privatize public schooling and the Milken Institute was one of those groups. Also Neal Bush is involved in this and the Amway Corporation and other corporations.

Their objectives involve selling testing and workbook programs to schools, as I recall, and Bush's testing iniatives seem to fit with that - sell testing progams to schools and then when the kids fail, move in vouchers and privatizing iniatives. Don't remember all the details, but I think there's a lot going on that people don't know about.

5. Thanks all y'all.
Damn MI keeps a pretty low profile. I'll just have to dig a little more.
