It is just amazing. Senator Mel Martinez, Republican from Florida, is asking for an amendment to the Energy Bill that would delete Florida from being included in an off shore inventory of oil/gas. He argues that Florida doesn't want drilling and doesn't even want information of the offshore assets obtained. Needless to say he is of the same party which would happily make the ANWAR look like a pincushion of wells. Hypocrites.

You can't expect perfection from Republicans, and Martinez has been somewhat impressive of late.

They want to save their own back yards while dumping trash in someone else's. Typical Republican.
