O'Reilly ---------Spinning and Stalking Tonight
Spinning: He and GINGRICH said that Shrub's plunging #s are just normal for this level of the cycle, that RAYGUN and CLINTON both were trailing their opponents at this point.

Spinning: Actually, worse than spinning. He said that the KAY report is due out in two to four weeks. His retired general stooge said that NOTHING has been found, that there are PAPERS of stuff, no STUFF. We need to find O'Whorely's 03-17/18-03 statement to the effect that if NO WMDs were found, he would NEVER FORGIVE the Shrub Mal-administration, never defend or support it AGAIN. Now he's saying that the inconclusive report will just fuel both sides, those who want to believe Shrub and those who don't.

STALKING: He continues to attack FRANKEN. He sez the SMEARING of Shrub has reached the epitome of VICIOUSNESS never before seen. Huh? MUSKIE was not smeared? DUKAKIS? GORE? Oh, and that CLINTON fellow, something about a FAKE impeachment perpetrated by a network of hypocritical adulterers. Tonight he was saying that FRANKEN is the equivalent of NIXON's Donald SEGRETTI, smearing good wingnuts like Brit HUME, whom FRANKEN supposedly called a effing-ahole. He continues to say FRANKEN is mentally disturbed, that he was taken out of Faux by security for trying to fight HANNITY, created a disturbance with COLMES, that he is being paid by the DNC to host official Dem party events.

1. I saw the part about the "level of discourse"...
I mean honestly, was he not around from 1992-2000? How can anyone say that with a straight face? I agree the discourse has been lowered but those f*cknuts brought it down with their power grabbin ways.

5. What O'Reilly means
is that liberals are fighting back. We're not just letting these liars continue to blaspheme. We're taking back our wonderful country. We're not wimps. We're not weak. We're smart, informed people. I call people out. I'm no longer polite...I no longer just walk away. I don't shrug and say "whatever". It's over. Our future is at stake. I fight back. It's our patriotic duty. So. Yeah. Go ahead and cry, O'Reilly. The level of discourse has gotten rough because it's no longer one-sided and liars like O'Reilly, cowardly bullies, actually have opponents now. And we are damn fine opponents.

2. In other words ...
Edited on Tue Sep-23-03 08:02 PM by BattyDem
Al Franken is behaving exactly like O'Reilly, Hannity, Carlson, Coulter, Limbaugh, etc. As usual, the right-wingers can dish it out but they can't take it. Remember the good old days when the adults were in charge of our media and our government?

Go Franken!

4. what he fails to say is....
their numbers never plummeted like Bushs's have in just a few short weeks. I might be wrong but I think this is more akin to Nixon's numbers dropping during the Watergate scandal.

What consultants really look at is momentum and how fast the drop (or rise) is going. Let's just pray the momemtum keeps going down and doesn't go up in time for the election.

Does anyone have polling info from back then?

Edited on Tue Sep-23-03 08:14 PM by Scairp
According to what O'Lielly said tonight, it was okay to refer to our sitting and legally elected president Bill Clinton as a rapist and a murderer but now it's not okay to call a lying, shill journalist and a dumb appointed president, lying, stupid or assholes? Got it Bill, thanks a bunch for clearing that up for me. Asshole.

8. I think O'reilly is going to become the first Black Hole of Hypocracy
He's just going to implode upon himself. How anyone on his staff could suffer his arrogance is beyond me. I'd be out of there so fast with a tell all book it wouldn't be funny! (But 10 bucks says they must sign a non-disclosure agreement if they have to work for this jerk)

9. giving away books
He showed the Fox morning people giving away his book outside the studio - one kid wouldn't take it, they forced it on him!
I guess we'll see a (+) next to his book on the NY Times seller list.

18. It's personal with Bill
he can't stand it when he's shown up...that's why his fights are usually fixed. Like most of the wingers. They can't handle a fair fight. Rush's show is completely fixed....he will NOT debate. Ever see him on Letterman? The audience booed. Rush fell apart. Just deconstructed. Really pathetic and sad. And O'Reilly....remember his jilted girlfriend routine with George Clooney? O'Reilly kept talking about him and writing columns about him. Totally weird. Obsessive. Now, he's moved on to Franken. Not sure O'Reilly is stable.

13. Speaking of Google, Here's His 03-18-03 Quote
A veritable treasure trove of WMD quotes, including link #3 by the incomparable Molly IVINS.

"And I said on my program, if, if the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clear he had nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again."

If there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, this is very bad news for the country. America loses credibility, people who hate us have more ammunition, there is no question the USA will be damaged in worldwide opinion.

19. Speaking of Brit Hume
The man was the raquetball partner of whistleass' dad. If Tom Brokaw played golf once a week with Gen Clark, or Dan Rather played poker every friday with Howard Dean, I am sure O'lie-ly would not have a problem with it.

20. on GMA this morning
Gibson asked him about what he said about WMDs, and he said he's waiting for the Kay report to come out. Then if it turns out that this whole thing was "bogus," he will apologize. He said that several times, if it turns out the war was bogus. That leaves him a way out. He can say, well, they *thought* there were WMD, so it wasn't bogus. If he deals with it at all, which I doubt.

He originally said the quoted thing with GIBSON on GMA. And IVINS's column is current, bringing up again what O'WHORELY said. Thanks!

22. Actually, I Think It Is Funny
O'Reilly, whose catch phrase is "Shut Up", now lectures us all about civil discourse.

And I guess Bill simply forgot about one of the finer moments of American political discourse: Rush calling 13-year old Chelsea Clinton the "White House dog".
