I just got my KB Toys GWB Aviator Action Figure
I ordered it some months ago when it was first announced, and it took this long to arrive. I was surprised to see the quality of detail and workmanship on this doll. The flight suit and accessories have authentic looking zips and buckles, and there is a helmet, airpack frame, watch, and hose. There are a couple of gloves, one of which gives him the "thumbs up" (so we presume) sign.

The pose it comes in is in a two-fingered salute -- not "real" military. No bulge.

To me it doesn't look that much like W, however (the box has a more accurate photo). They seem to have kind of "de-chimpified" the features a bit. The nose is very prominent.

So there it is on my office shelf, displayed in its unopened box. (It has a full length clear top.) Most visitors are perplexed as to why it is there, most of them knowing what I feel about this group of thugs, hooligans, and idiots that culminate in this icon.

I tell them that it is there to remind me that there all too many people in the world that live in a different reality than mine. In my job I need that perspective sometimes.

Also, it proves to my Republican visitors that I'm a bro.

1. Keep a close eye on it
It'll probably go AWOL. If it does, I suggest checking neighborhood taverns and crack houses.

6. LOL!
I just saw it for the first time this weekend at a mall...Kaybee Toys can kiss my ... ummm...flight suit. They lost ALL of my business. Truth be told, I never bought from them before, but now? NOOOOOO way. That action figure made me SICK. Essentially, I am horrified at the deification of world leader, in any form. We know where that leads...don't we?!

I had to laugh at your AWOL/taverns/crack houses crack. :-)

3. Uh, what?
You should be telling people the damn doll is made in China, you figured you'd support cheap labor practices.

5. so basically, it looks BETTER than the real thing?
Personally, I would have gone for the "Farting Bush" doll ... much more squeezeable!

Look closely. At first I thought it was the "real" doll and not a parody.

13. Should have saved it
I'm planning to sell mine on e-bay in about 5-10 years. It will be very collectable because people won't believe such things actually existed.

I couldn't believe it until I saw it.

10. Voodoo doll
I actually have a George W. Bush voodoo doll that a friend gave me in December 2000 after he "won" the election.

It doesn't work.
