Let's make "conservative" the dirty word, with kids growing up liberals --

Look around people, especially Gen Y kids -- conservatives, in complete control, have turned out to be nutcases, some religiously insane, all spending us into ruin, warmongering, destroying our environment, sending us back to a scientific Dark Age lagging behind the rest of the world, turned our free press into a laughing stock and TV newspeople into Barbies and Kens, remade our country into a landscape of McMansions and McJobs and reduced our citizens to Wal-Mart shoppers. Smarten up, folks. You still want to call yourself a "conservative"? Join FDR, JFK, your favorite teachers and professors, enlightened clergy, movie and rock stars, artists, even a good number of REALLY smart businesspeople -- be a liberal, and OWN it! Forget putting the grownups back in charge -- let's re-empower the sane!

Those of us here, admitted liberals -- it's time to shout it. Press bimbos and bimbettes, print writers cowering under your desks in fear of Karl Rove, hear us roar. Our time may be coming. This train may be leaving the station, and it could be bound for glory.

The beginning of that song fits them to a tee. They want us to go back to the Crusades; back to when Bush's daddy lost the war so he can "win" it 15 years later; back to the time before we discovered the world wasn't flat; back to back to the era when the Constitution was being written and they disagreed--so they can rewrite it now.

They are nothing, if not regressive. The name is not just a name, it's a description.
