The "Let's Ask a Republican" Contest
I want you to start asking your able-bodied right-wing co-workers, family members, loud-mouths in bars the question:

Since you support the war in Iraq, why haven't you enlisted?

Collect these replies and send them to me david "at symbol" thoughtcrimes.org. I will post the most interesting (here and at Thought Crimes) for all the world to read.

Since these assholes claim we are unpatriotic, let's hear why they are not putting their blood where their mouth is.

3. Not quite an apt analogy.
Animal rights is a pretty general concept. You can join or support one of many organizations dedicated to protecting animal rights, it doesn't have to be PETA.

But in this case, if you voted for bush in 2004, you most assuredly support the war he started in Iraq and on Iraqis. And if you are of able body and under 35, the question becomes, especially in light of huge deficits in recruiting, "why aren't you fighting it?" It's a fair question, especially for those in that category with "support the troops" magnetic ribbons on their cars. The best way they can support their president, this war, and the troops is to enlist, strap on a weapon, and get their ass over there.

But in your case, there are many ways you can support animal rights besides joining PETA.

7. No need to be scared of her.
Believe me, all you'd have to do is whisper "I'm a liberal--BOO!" and she'd scream, piss her pants, and run like her ass was on fire. They all would.
