You have to hand it to the Bush administration, they are really able to manipulate the media with some pretty cool timing, all designed to distract the ADD'd public.

Right when we're busy looking for criminals in the White House, they finally bring some actual charges against Saddam Hussein and get some front page coverage reminding us of who the REAL bad guy is (see CNN).

Their game is SO obvious, and yet it seems to work every* time. I guess they must be getting pretty desperate to play the Saddam card today.

* I don't think it's going to work this time boys.

1. Well, it certainly proves that Rove is still on the job, anyway.

2. Usually,
I'm not the type to attribute every seeming distraction to Rove. But this... this just reeks of him.

all the people of Iraq the same understanding of what it was like living under Saddam. Saddam was evil. The Iraqis need peace and what better way than to start with a T.V. trial so all people can get on the same page.

Don't worry - Saddam has already denied having the gas to gas curds. Which means then the prosecutors will have to put Americans & Brits on the stand to proove they sold gas to Saddam. The neocons will not get off scot free in this trial.

Let us hope it works. And Iraqis find a peace of sorts.
