another open mike, this time on Meet the Press
If you saw the "that's bullshit" open mike moment
on Lou Dobbs, you'll appreciate this.
(if you didn't, look it up now!)

on today's meet the press, Ken Mehlmann is
obfuscating on a question, and at one
point a soft voice is heard saying
"just say yes, Ken"

it's at about 2:53-54 in this quicktime

4. I maintain that if just one Bushwhore would break from the herd
on this TREASON, the dam would burst and people would be in the streets with torches. Then MAYBE we can put Limpballs and all the othrs who brought this on us in prison for treason and start rebuilding the country.

5. Dems would. But Republicans are a strange lot. Even in Watergate
after it was common knowledge that Nixon was a crook, the Senate hearings had been completed, Woodward and Bernstein had written all the damning articles, and the House Judiciary Committee was holding hearings and voting on impeachment, there were stalwart Republicans on the Judiciary Committee -- I remember Sandman, in particular -- who kept up the front, repeated the same old lies, accused Democrats of being out to get the president for partisan reasons and all the rest of the shit we hear from Republicans year after year.

Sen. Barry Goldwater turned on Nixon and it was well-reported when Goldwater said that "Dick Nixon is the biggest god-damned liar I've ever known." Lots of Republicans officeholders jumped ship at the last minute; but there were many who carried water for Nixon to the bitter end. Most of them lost their jobs in the 1976 election.
