And you thought Watergate was bad?
This is the latest from DCCC.

>>>>snip

Dear XXXXX,

I don't have to tell you that the Republican majority in Congress is doing everything they can to help the Radical Right take over the entire government. They have the White House and Congress, and are trying to bring their reckless policies to our courtrooms.

But the good news is that they can be stopped! They have to be stopped!

Recent polls say we can win as more and more Americans are fed-up with the abuse of power perpetrated by George W. Bush, Karl Rove, Tom DeLay and their followers.

That's why we need you to join a special program called the DCCC Victory Partners which helps provide the steady, predictable source of funds that we need to continue our work recruiting, training and funding Democratic candidates across the country.

Click here to become a Victory Partner!

As a Victory Partner, you will have invested in the DCCC's mission, so we want you to know what we're doing to win a Democratic majority and stop the GOP and Radical Right in their tracks.

The best way for you to stay informed is through The Battleground Brief. The Battleground Brief is the insider's guide to our efforts to elect Democratic candidates to the U.S. House and end the Republicans' reign of corruption.

Until now, The Battleground Brief was only available to a small group of Democratic Party insiders. But it is so important to keep you up-to-date as our campaigns progress that I am offering you an exclusive subscription when you make a monthly pledge today.

Sign up as a Victory Partner to activate your subscription to The Battleground Brief.

When you receive The Battleground Brief in your inbox every month, you'll get the inside scoop on our Democratic victory campaign. Here's a little from the most recent issue:

Quote of Note: "When asked whether they felt that their own representative deserved to be re-elected, only 41 percent said yes. That is statistically the same as it was in October 1994, a month before the Republican tidal wave." -- Charlie Cook.
New polling data showing the plummeting popularity of both President Bush and the Republicans in Congress. Updates on Democratic candidate recruitment efforts across the country.
News You Can Use, candidate recruitment, fundraising & campaign updates from across the country and more.
Get active and stay informed! Become a Victory Partner today to receive your subscription to The Battleground Brief.

Make your Victory Partner pledge online now.

As a Victory Partner, your monthly commitment to the DCCC will allow us to plan and budget now for the voter registration campaigns, local organizers and TV advertisements that our candidates will need to get their positive, progressive message heard by voters. And with your support, we will be able to start these programs earlier than ever before.

Electing more Democrats to the House is the ONLY way to stop Tom DeLay and his Radical Right agenda in their tracks.

Just think what we have to gain:
a House where the Majority Leader won't have leadership PAC staff under indictment and won't threaten judges;
a House where the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee will hold open, honest hearings instead of turning off the microphones of Democrats mid-sentence; and,
a House that will pass legislation that will help all Americans instead of just the wealthy and special interests.
We can sweep the extremist GOP leadership out of Congress and stop George W. Bush, Tom DeLay and the Republican Congress' ruinous agenda, but we all need to do our part.

Your support will allow the DCCC to continue to lay the groundwork needed to be successful in 2006 AND take advantage of missteps much like we did with recent radio and newspaper ads exposing Republicans' votes against adequate health care for our veterans. We also ran a series of ads exposing the GOP's greed and corruption. Let's face it -- there hasn't been this kind of abuse of power in Washington since Watergate!

Get active and stay informed! Become a Victory Partner today to receive your subscription to The Battleground Brief.

Make your Victory Partner pledge online now.

Sincerely,

Rahm Emanuel
Chairman, DCCC

P.S. To break the Republicans' stranglehold on power, every Democrat needs to be actively engaged. That's why I urge you to become a Victory Partner today to receive your exclusive subscription to The Battleground Brief, the insider's guide to the campaign for a Democratic Majority.

1. And even DeLay...
I really believe that DeLay from the Houston area, can ALSO be beaten this time. Contacts from that part of the State tell me that he is in REAL trouble....and that isn't from liberal Democrats, but MODERATE Republican's who are planning on changing their votes for the first time in years!!
