Could someone please explain this to me??? concerning Saddam and terra
Edited on Sun Jul-31-05 04:52 PM by noahmijo
Okay this is OLD news to all of us here but I am finally popping the question: Why do people who hate Islam hate Arabs ect love the idea of taking Saddam out of power so much?

Okay listen up you straw hat wearing yokel motherfuckers Saddam hated radical Islamists Even if you sat through a lifetime of your southern pastor's blatherings about the evils of Islam you still wouldn't hate radical Islam as much as Saddam did.

Did you ever torture any radical Islamists? guess what? Saddam ordering the torture of an Islamic rebel who was pissed that Iraq was a secular nation took as much out of him as you or I killing a buzzing fly.

See I just don't get it explain it to me you yahoos explain it to me, and while you're at it explain it to me how so many of you morons sorry MORANS went from turning the words of a peaceful possibly black but more than likely middle eastern looking man into a fanatical white people's only cult known as American Christianity.

EXPLAIN IT TO ME

(Note this is not a defense post for Saddam. Of course I would prefer to live in America than Saddam-controlled-Iraq but I'm just not a fan of overthrowing him at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives and limbs and billions of our taxpayer dollars just to make the situation WORSE than before war)

1. Reason & facts don't work on the "faith-based", belief-oriented crowd

2. it has nothing to do with hate
the rethorics and the hatred come just along as justifications or as a spin of the events :

After first backing Saddam as an ally against Iran, the USA started to see him as a threat when he invaded Kuwait. Not for Kuwait's sake, but because he really became a threat to the Saudis.

Besides the fact that new technology had to be tested, playing on the fact that the Soviet Union had collapsed (Gulf War would never had happened if the Soviets had kept their power from the 70s), Saddam was taught a lesson.

the reason for the second Iraq war are probably multiple but saying that control of oil, pure hubris about US military power and "need" from GW to show that he was "THE PRESIDENT" are the main ones.

all this of course didn't take any consideration of the feelings of millions of "Arabs" secular or non secular...

we see the results today

3. Oh I know the brass' reasons for invading are different than Joe American
I am talking about from John Q's point of view. Of course the Bush Crime Family doesn't hate Saddam or anything like that they're not ordering this war because they hate Muslims but for power, control ect, but they use John Q to drum up the support.

4. they invaded Iraq as punishment for Saddam selling oil for Euros
And, of course, to serve as a launching pad for their designs against Iran (hence all the permanent bases).

5. Saddam murdered many. If a few people rebelled or looked at him
wrong - he would go after their village. Terror like that is different that this sad war the US has started where families are given advance warning about attacks on faluja. Families told to get the hell out of town cause it will be totally destroyed.

People in Iraq can speak up. They may get killed by terrorists. But it is not automatic like it was under Saddam. So a few brave souls step up to bad.

There is a reason why Saddam had complete control over Irag. He terrorized them so. USA or the insurgents do not have the control that Saddam had.

Hitler did it the way Saddam did it - only much worse.

Why USA could not have planned for the war or Rummy listened to the generals - I do not know.

But one bad thing does not erase another.

Saddam was evil. He gassed a village.

He terrorized.

Of course he was the USA's man on the ground in the 1980s and well after his terrors started.

Evil is evil. Saddam was that.

Wait for the trial.
