I oppose Congress investigating Rafael Palmerio
It's silly and a waste of time for a nation at war. The alleged infiltration of steroids into major League Baseball is none of Congress' business anyway. Those hearings were a huge waste of time. I would have preferred hearings on the Downing Street Memo and war profiteering by Halliburton.

Yes, I realize Palmerio is a Republican and a Bush friend, and sure it might be enticing to string him up to score a cheap political shot. I'm sure he probably supported the Clinton impeachment 6 years ago for "perjury" about sex, but my position is still the same: leave him alone.

I n fact, I really don't give a damn about people lying under oath about drugs and sex, because it's none of the government's business when people decide to have sex and/or do drugs.

2. What are you talking about? ROOOOOOL of LAWWWWW!!!!!
Sorry. My inner Freeper came out to play.... He's gone now.

I agree. But since the Jackson trial is over, and there are no new shark attacks, we need something inconsequential to obsess about....

4. I'm all for it.
Not just because he's a Repug, a former Ranger, buddy of B*sh's or a lying prick. If you don't investigate possible counts of perjury on the Hill, you're sending the signal to anyone who gets subpoenaed that lying to Congressional investigators is worth the risk.

It was unnecessary for Congress to stick its nose into this to begin with, but now that it has the investigation into RP and possible perjury should go forward.

6. I support it, rather reluctantly

only because the sports industry has become overrun with the steroid abuse, and has been extremely reticent to take any steps in order to stop the epidemic. So someone has to step in. Plus Palmerio is an ignorant pig, so I couldn't care less what happens to him.

Although there are so many more important issues I can think of...
