Ha Ha! Shrub will face snubs on visit to England.

Officials have vetoed proposals for Mr Bush to address Parliament, fearing he would face a mass boycott from Labour MPs.

Former presidents Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan gave speeches to MPs and peers during official visits, but undoubtedly such a move in the present climate would result in an embarrassing rejection by parliamentarians.

Lavish State banquets planned for the President at Buckingham Palace and Guildhall in London will be another source of controversy.

Traditionally these events attract the cream of the British establishment, but many politicians and celebrities are likely to turn down invitations to meet Mr Bush because he has become such an unpopular figure in Britain.

Wouldn't it be great if Shrub had to spend his entire visit holed up in Buckingham Palace with tanks and armored cars surrounding it to keep the protestors at a safe distance. Of course Liz and Philip would probably have a bad case of cabin fever after being bottled up with Dubya and Pickles for three days straight. Oh well, maybe they can set up a guest suite in the Royal Dungeon well away from the royal family's accomadations to keep Shrub out of their hair until he slinks out the back door to get back on Air Force 1 for the trip home.

Poor Shrubby can't go out and play in England! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
what a moran, it's great to see that he's gonna be trapped in a cage of his own creation (i.e. free speech zones) in England. Have fun Shrub, and by the way, don't leave the palace:)

3. I have been thinking about this, and
what I want to know is why is * visiting the Queen in the first place?? He is hated almost universally in England, and why would the queen invite him when it would certainly look bad for the Monarchy? (which, IMHO, doesn't need anymore bad press). It just seems like a stupid move all the way around.

Sometimes, when I am wearing my tinfoil hat, I think that something evil is stirring...

But what do I know, maybe the Queen wants to give him a knighthood or just beat the piss out of him.

4. Well according to LaRouche

Isn't the Queen of England and the English elite really the behind the scenes string pullers who control a criminal, drug smuggling empire and who also control much of what happens in the US and the rest of the world?

Maybe Liz is just calling Shrub back to head office for a Royal reaming out over being such a fuckup.

6. Al Martin and Slosnick have had several articles detailing the
releationship between the Queen and the Bush family. Something to do with the BCEE bank scandals too, and some large amounts of money going in and out of the Queens accounts. Tin-foil stuff for sure, but one can believe it's all one happy, incestious family.

10. You ask a reasonable question of lunatics....they cannot be
reasonable because they have gone off the deep end. We are watching their demise. I have no sympathy either.

13. Protocol
It would be unthinkable for the queen not to meet the President of the United States. (Alas, President Gore seems to be unavailable, so Bush will have to do).

The queen does everything she does because of duty. I'm no monarchist, and she's hardly the most selfless public servant - she has vast wealth, and privelige beyond anyone else in the country simply because of the family in which she was born, but about one thing we should be absolutely clear: she has no power. None. All the power that the British Crown once had now resides with Tony Blair.

14. I certainly hope we would!
Throw him back, that is. I don't want us to have him! We've got enough problems with our own deranged quasi-messianic leader. For better or worse, he's your problem - you must deal with him!
