Drudge Report-Novak: "No one from the WH called me to leak this"
This is not the same as:

NO ONE FROM THE WHITE HOUSE LEAKED THIS TO ME.-Splasher (Yahoo)

I pulled this from yahoo. Very clever of Novak.

1. Called as in "on the phone" or "from across the room"?

No, he got the name from someone else far enough up the Bush Regime ladder to know, and the CIA was kind enough to confirm it despite her being an undercover agent. It's not his fault if someone from the White House just happened to give the same name to five other reporters at about the same time!

4. Here's Novak's quote from his article..it's different from what he said...
I think he's changed his story from his original article on this in July..

Here's the exact quote from his article:

"Wilson never worked for the CIA, but his wife, Valerie Plame, is
an Agency operative on weapons of mass destruction. Two senior
administration officials told me Wilson's wife suggested sending
him to Niger to investigate the Italian report. The CIA says its
counter-proliferation officials selected Wilson and asked his wife
to contact him. "I will not answer any question about my wife,"
Wilson told me."

3. Like it matters whether anyone called him or told him face to face....
same result, he outed a CIA agent.

5. The question remains
How many people could have had the knowledge that Wilson was CIA? It seems logical that only a few at the upper echelons of government would have had that info.
