Who let Saudis flee after 9/11?

Concise Summary of Events Surrounding Exodus of bin Laden family (which has all been discussed on DU, but also a call to action to obtain name of people who approved it...

http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2003/09/30/who_let_saudis_flee_after_911/

"Why should the American people trust the Bush administration with greater police powers when it refuses to answer questions about the bin Laden family's escape? As Senator Charles Schumer of New York has said, it was too soon after 9/11 for the FBI even to know what questions to ask, much less to decide conclusively that each Saudi and bin Laden relative deserved an "all clear," never to be available for questions again."

?In stark contrast to the special treatment given to these Saudis, President Bush and the Justice Department have repeatedly challenged Congress and the federal courts to permit law enforcement maximum leeway in moving against terrorism suspects."

2. Well, it wasn't Cheney, because he said he "knew nothing about it".
:eyes:

And Schumer, despite his latest calls for investigations on a number of things, supported the war in Iraq, and has been a consistent supporter of the PNAC/AIPAC/JDL/JINSA/Likud cabal. He speaks from both sides of his mouth, when it comes to the things Sharon and Likud want (like wars against Iraq, Iran, and Syria).

He not dissimilar to a number of other Dems, and most Republicans, on this issue though. They are letting an outside nation (Israel) determine our foreign and military policies, and allowing them in interfere in our domestic political processes (like elections), all in violation of our Constitution. This must be stopped, as it allies these Sharon/Likud supporters with PNAC, and puts them at odds with the interests of this nation, and the world.

wasn't he? Carlisle Group meeting if my memory serves me correctly. He'd probably know who got his buddies out.
